                     Introduction

The Cadillac DTS, a front-wheel luxury sedan, is the replacement/updated version of the erstwhile Cadillac DeVille. This upgraded version was modeled after the 2000 DeVille and it was renamed the Deville Touring Sedan (DTS) in 2006. Although this update was far better than the DeVille in look, feel, and 'sportiness', Cadillac discontinued the DTS in the 2011 model year. The DTS was then replaced by the 2013 Cadillac XTS. 

Still, just like the DeVille, the DeVille Touring Sedan has a 4.6-liter Northstar V-8 power with a 275 to 291 horsepower based on the trim level. However, with the styling of the DTS being from the Cadillac ‘Art and Science’ design theme, the DTS created more room at the trunk cargo (specifically 18.8 cubic feet of space) and the backseat space giving a more comfortable interior look and feel. 

While the Deville Touring Sedan comes with its sleek sporty design, the 2007 Cadillac DTS, in particular, is one to be desired. This front-wheel drive luxury sedan has an easy-to-use DVD navigation system, heated, cooled, and massaging front seats, adaptive cruise control, and a smooth ride due to a functioning/effective suspension system.

This means that switching off the air compressor does not require pulling a lever or switch at the trunk area to disengage the air compressor. Instead, as a notable feature, this luxury sedan retains its trunk space for putting and pulling loads and baggage. 

One core reason why this Cadillac DTS is built this way is that the suspension system is highly controlled. This means that the vehicle's leveling and lifting are detected when the car is jacked up for repair or other purposes and, in alignment, the suspension would conserve the air. However, this doesn't mean that the air suspension's core component (the air compressor) can't be turned off to disengage the system. 

So, in place of the switch, the 2007 Cadillac DTS comes with a fuse and a relay. The fuse and relay control the leveling of the vehicle. It is also these components that help in engaging and disengaging the air suspension system in a 2007 Cadillac DTS. To find the fuse box (labeled ELC Fuse) of your DTS, check beneath the rear seat cushion beside the vehicle's battery. The relay (labeled #55) is also found under the rear seat cushion of your 2007 Cadillac DTS. 

 

                   Conclusion

The 2007 Cadillac DTS with all of its outstanding features provides a reasonable amount of comfort and reliability for drivers regardless of its four-speed automatic transmission and its relatively low fuel efficiency. Still, with its durable and trustworthy suspension system, its users have been guaranteed to have a smooth, bump-free, noiseless ride with a homely and comfy interior space and feel. 

As regards switching off the air suspension system, this full-size luxury sedan, like other Cadillac sedans of its age, never comes with an air suspension switch. All there is to do is find the 30 amp fuse box or ELC and the vehicle's relay just under the rear seat cushion. Also, note that the Cadillac DTS air suspension was built to be always on and highly controlled.
